Dr. Amandeep Kaur, MD CWS-P

Amandeep Kaur, MD is one of a select few fellowship-trained physicians in the specialty of Wound Care and complex wound management in the DFW area. She graduated with honors from Government Medical College, Patiala, India in 2004. Dr. Kaur completed a Residency in Family Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston and is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Subsequently, Dr. Kaur completed a Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine and an additional fellowship in Wound Care with a focus on Hyperbaric Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She is a board-certified Wound Specialist physician through the American Board of Wound Management.
Dr. Kaur’s focus on quality patient care and tailored treatment plans has been the hallmark of her practice. She is a tenacious patient advocate for limb and tissue salvage and has the fundamental belief that only an inter-disciplinary, coordinated plan will achieve optimal results.
Kaustubh Mestry, MD, CWS-P
Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine
Kaustubh Mestry, MD is among the few fellowship-trained, and board-certified Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Specialists in the DFW area. He completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and went on to complete a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine with an advanced fellowship in Wound Care. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and concurrently maintains certification in Wound Care as a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWS-P) from the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM). He also holds a certification in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) from the American Board of Wound Healing (ABWH) / American College of Hyperbaric Medicine (ACHM).
Dr. Maya Batista, MD

Dr. Maya Batista brings extensive surgical and wound care expertise to our Fort Worth clinic. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University, followed by her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She then completed her General Surgery Residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in Tulsa and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Before specializing in wound care and hyperbaric medicine, Dr. Batista practiced as a general surgeon in North Texas. Today, she is dedicated to providing advanced wound care through a systematic, multidisciplinary approach designed to improve healing and outcomes.
With a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care, Dr. Batista partners with patients, families, and referring physicians to restore health, promote healing, and improve quality of life.
Leonard Fichter, DO

Dr. Leonard Fichter is a dedicated physician and Medical Director at our NW Florida clinic. With 28 years of experience in treating complex wounds and over a decade specializing in hyperbaric medicine, Dr. Fichter brings exceptional expertise and compassionate care to our patients.
As a board-certified general surgeon, Dr. Fichter seamlessly integrates his surgical skills into our outpatient clinic setting, ensuring that each patient receives comprehensive, tailored treatment. His approach is holistic, addressing not only the wounds but also the underlying causes to prevent future health issues.
Dr. Fichter’s professional affiliations highlight his commitment to excellence and ongoing education. He is associated with the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society, and the American College of Phlebology as well as other osteopathic professional organizations.
