  • Amandeep Kaur, MD CWS-P –  Chief Medical Officer

    Amandeep Kaur, MD is one of a select few fellowship physicians trained in the specialty of Wound Care and complex wound management. She graduated with honors from Government Medical College, Patiala, India in 2004. Dr. Kaur completed a Residency in Family Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston and is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Subsequently, Dr. Kaur completed a Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine and an additional fellowship in Wound Care with a focus on Hyperbaric Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She is a Certified Wound Specialist Physician through the American Board of Wound Management.

    Dr. Kaur’s focus on quality patient care and selection of optimal treatment plans has been the hallmark of her practice. She is a strong proponent of limb and tissue salvage and carries a core fundamental belief in an inter-disciplinary and coordinated plan to achieve optimal results. She continues to be affiliated with multiple facilities including acute care hospitals, LTACHs, skilled nursing and extended care facilities.

  • Charles R. Mathis, MD – Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine

    Charles R. Mathis, MD is a General Surgeon and Wound Care Specialist with over twenty five years of expertise.  Dr. Mathis graduated from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed a research fellowship in Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery from the same institute. His medical training culminated with a General Surgery Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.

    Presently certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Mathis prides himself as a lifelong learner and is seeking new certifications from both the American Board of Wound Management and the American Board of Hyperbaric Medicine. In addition, Dr. Mathis is certified in advanced trauma life support (ATLS).

    Dr. Mathis uses a tender touch when debriding wounds and excels at making patients feel comfortable in a complex medical environment. His rapidly builds rapport with his patients allowing him to address the wound and its underlying causes. He is a strong believer in collaborative care and coordinates with healthcare professionals throughout the treatment process.

    We are excited to add Dr. Mathis to our team. He is a valuable resource to the medical communities we serve in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

  • Kaustubh Mestry, MD, CWS-P – Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine

    Dr. Mestry is one of the few, fellowship trained and certified Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Specialists in the DFW area. He completed his residency from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas and went on to complete a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine and an advanced fellowship in Geriatric Medicine – Wound Care. He is board certified in Family Medicine and concurrently maintains certification in Wound Care as a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWS-P) from the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM) as well as certification in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) from the American Board of Wound Healing (ABWH) / American College of Hyperbaric Medicine (ACHM).

  • John O’Connell, DO – Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine

    Dr. John O'Connell is a Family Practice Physician with expertise in Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine. For over 24 years, he has served the multi-generational health needs of Bay County, Florida. Dr. O’Connell graduated from the A.T. Still University of Health Sciences/Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Immediately following graduation, he completed the prestigious Transitional Internship Program at the Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center. The Transitional Year provided a broad-based program of Graduate Medical Education in multiple clinical disciplines. In addition, he has earned a Physician Certification in Hyperbaric Medicine from the American Board of Wound Healing.

    Dr. O’Connell excels at making patients feel comfortable in a complex medical environment. His years of experience have allowed him to develop a deep understanding of his patient’s concerns and the ability to caringly and effectively address them. His holistic approach to medicine allows him to treat existing patient wounds with an eye toward the underlying causes and prevention of future illness.
